The Baldwin Youth Association Purpose

The Baldwin Youth Association is a 501 (c) (3) tax – exempt non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to foster the growth and development of school age young people, by using sports activities and events to expose, educate, and instruct them on career opportunities that might be available. These groups’ activities are sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and is a member of Amateur Athletic Union, Youth Basketball of America, Atlanta Tip – Off Advisory Board, Nike Grassroots Youth Program, National Association of Basketball Coaches, Black Coaches Association, Milledgeville & Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

The BYA Mission

The Mission of the Baldwin Youth Association is;
To be Knowledgeable of significant issues pertaining to the preparation for
High school and college eligibility.
To assist youth aspiring to receive scholarships and grants.
To assist youth aspiring to have a career using sports.
To provide youth knowledge of educational and professional opportunities.
To provide youth encouragement to continue with their goals.
To expose the youth to college professional so that they might receive help for their goals.

The BYA Past, Present and Future

The Baldwin Youth Association was founded by James A. Lunsford, and is its Executive Director. Lunsford is a former high school educator and coach of 30 years. He has dedicated his life to helping student athletes develop athletically, academically, and socially. While coaching high school basketball, over 200 student athletes received scholarships, and grants, while graduating from college and universities all over this nation. His award winning Personal Growth Program that introduces the student to seven objectives desire, drive, purpose, persistence, confidence, faith and commitment are a large part of this association’s purpose and mission.

Presently, the association has establishing one and three-day exposure basketball camps, by way of the “Southern Prep Hoop”. And student athlete academic workshops in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Florida. Invitations to these events go out to high schools, newspapers, and other media in the states mention as well as many others in the southeast. Universities, Colleges, Prep Schools, and Recruiting Services also are made aware of association events. At the end of these camps and clinics player information goes out to Universities, College, and Recruiting Services through out the southeast. Last spring and summer over 700 student athletes attended our camps and over 100 coaches.

To further our purpose, mission, and achieve a positive vision for the youth of America, we seek to create a long – term Partner Sponsorship with other associations, businesses, corporations, clubs, schools, and others with similar interests.

Ultimately, a Partner Sponsorship between your organization and the Baldwin Youth Association will bring positive national exposure and recognition to both groups. Sponsors names and logos will be included in camp booklets, courtside banner, promotional acknowledgment, numerous newspapers, posters, and any publications that your group might want to present. Above all your financial support of Baldwin Youth Association, Inc. will provide an avenue to help youth aspiring to receive a scholarship while using sports activities to develop a career.

LEVEL ONE PARTNER SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE

1. Your company will receive a radio, newspaper, and print media promotion.
2. Your company will receive its name on gym banners, courtside posters, and inside camp booklets.
3. Your company will receive access to over 300 youth in Georgia, South and North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, and Tennessee, as well as other southeastern states, and the nation.
4. Your company can pass out samples, printouts, or, other items to campers, parents, and college coaches.
5. Your company’s name will appear on Baldwin Youth Association, Inc. stationery.
6. Your company’s name will appear on printouts to Universities, Colleges, and Recruiting Services.

LEVEL TWO PARTNER SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE

1. Your company will receive radio, newspapers, and print media promotion.
2. Your company will receive it’s name on gym banner, courtside posters, INSIDE and on the FRONT of camp booklets.
3. Your company will receive access to over 300 youth in Georgia, South and North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, and Tennessee, as well as other southeastern states, and the nation.
4. Your company can pass out samples, printouts, or other items to campers, parents, and college coaches.
5. Your company’s name will appear on Baldwin Youth Association stationery.
6. Your company’s name will appear on printouts to Universities, Colleges, and Recruiting Services.
7. Your company’s name or, logo will appear Staff’s apparel.

LEVEL THREE PARTNER SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE

1. Your company will receive radio, newspaper, and media promotion.
2. Your company will receive it’s name on gym banner, courtside posters, INSIDE and on the FRONT of camp booklets.
3. Your company will receive access to over 300 youth in Georgia, South and North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Florida. As well as other southeastern states, and the nation.
4. Your company can pass out samples, printouts, or other items to campers, parents, and college coaches.
5. Your company’s name will appear on Baldwin Youth Association stationery.
6. Your company’s name will appear on printouts to Universities, Colleges, and Recruiting Services.
7. Your company’s name or, logo will appear ON CAMP T – SHIRT that will be given out to every camper and staff member.
8. Your company will receive SPACE to conduct interactive activities including but not limited to sampling, distribution of material, give away promotions and opportunity to receive consumer leads.
9. Your company will receive the opportunity to provide event volunteers with camp T – Shirts, to wear during event volunteers with a camp T – Shirt, to wear during the Event.
10. Your company will receive the opportunity, if it provides, information about your company send out with acknowledgement letters to campers.

Message to Partner Sponsor

Millions of young people get involved in sports programs through this nation and develop certain skills that if EXPOSED will allow them to take advantage of opportunities that are available for young people. The climate of big time athletics along with NCAA rules and regulations, expense to the college, lack of staff, and the location of some of these young people, has allowed some of our best youth to fall through the cracks.
